I’m a person who loves her lists. I have handwritten lists, apps for lists, reminder lists on my phone, lists running through my head, things to buy lists and on and on they go. For the non-task oriented people you might have checked out or are feeling overwhelmed.
I promise I have something you’ll want to read :)
My lists help me from forgetting things I want to remember. At the end of my life I want it to be said that my life was impactful and about caring for people. I want to be a good steward of my life and my time here on earth.
So my favorite list is not your typical TO DO list, but it is a list of questions that I ask myself every day to make sure I remember and remember to actually BE who I am supposed to be and what I want to be about.
- Have you hugged someone?
- Have you helped/served someone?
- Have you reached out to someone?
- Have you stewarded your time well?
- Have you loved as only you can love?
- Have you considered someone else?
- Have you prayed?
At the end of my life I want to know that my life was about people and relationships. I can’t take money, cars or houses with me into eternity. What I can do is make an impact with the life that I’ve been given.
What are the things that only you can do? How can you impact your world? What are the questions you can say yes to at the end of the day?
Have you laughed with your kids?
Have you complimented a stranger?
Have you blessed someone?
Have you been…..YOU?
Because that’s what the world needs more of…YOU!
