I read somewhere that there are over 3500 promises that God makes to us in the Bible. I don't know if that's accurate, but it wouldn't surprise me. And some days we just need to be reminded of just one. How about you, right now? What promises do you need to hear again because somehow the circumstances of life have blurred the truth a bit?
We can be so overwhelmed by trouble that we forget things like Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Or we can feel like we have messed up so bad that God has rejected us and we need to hear 1 John1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
Are you anxious and worried about things? You need to remember 1Peter 5:7, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
Yesterday, I saw the most beautiful rainbow that eventually became a double rainbow, and I was reminded that God is faithful to keep all of His promises. In Genesis 9:13 the Lord says, "I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth." I wanted to share my rainbow with you today to remind you that God is the best promise-keeper. Whatever it is you're struggling with, maybe there's a promise in God's word that would encourage you. If I didn't nail it with the 3 promises I mentioned, search for yourself! And feel free to enjoy my rainbow as your personal reminder that God sees you. He knows what you need, and He is faithful to keep ALL of His promises!
In His Love,
