The temperature outside is dropping. The first flurries, and blizzard, of the season have arrived. You've got your handy dandy gloves on, a warm hat, and a knit scarf. Safe to say, you're all bundled up!
But what's the most important part of dressing for the winter?
That's right, you guessed it-- a nice, warm coat.
Having a coat during this season is essential. It protects and shields us from the brutally cold temperatures and provides a warm, fuzzy feeling even in the heart of the cold.
When the temperature suddenly drops, isn't it nice to know that a simple coat will have you covered?
.....What if we remembered to look at God in this way?
God is our protector. God is our shield. God is our shelter. He's got us covered.
When the seasons of our lives change and shift, God remains the same. And in His love, we find peace, joy, and comfort-- that warm, fuzzy feeling.
A bonus for us? We get to wear our "coats" all year round. God is our protector and shield in every season.
So when we throw on our coats and wrap ourselves in them, let that be a reminder to us that we are always wrapped up in God's warm, loving embrace.
And when we wrap ourselves in Him, it's a feeling like no other.
